Connecting your WhatsApp Business number

Connect your WhatsApp Business number to start sending and receiving messages through AIsoule.

The fastest way to connect — takes under 2 minutes.

Steps

  1. Go to Settings → WhatsApp Accounts
  2. Click the "Connect via Facebook" button
  3. A Facebook popup will open — log in with your Facebook account
  4. Select or create a Business Portfolio (Meta Business Account)
  5. Select or create a WhatsApp Business Account (WABA)
  6. Enter and verify your phone number
  7. Choose a display name for your business

Once complete, your account is automatically configured and ready to use.

Requirements

  • A Facebook account
  • A phone number that can receive SMS or voice calls for verification
  • The phone number must NOT be currently registered on WhatsApp Messenger (you'll need to delete WhatsApp from that number first, or use a new number)

Method 2: Manual Configuration

For advanced users who already have a WhatsApp Business API setup.

Steps

  1. Go to Settings → WhatsApp Accounts
  2. Click "Add Account" (manual)
  3. Enter the following from your Meta Developer Console:
    • Account Name — A friendly name for this account
    • Phone Number ID — Found in Meta App Dashboard → WhatsApp → API Setup
    • Business Account ID — Your WABA ID
    • Access Token — A permanent system user token
    • App Secret — For webhook signature verification (optional but recommended)
  4. Click Save
  5. Click "Test Connection" to verify everything works
  6. Click "Subscribe" to start receiving incoming messages

Where to find your credentials

  1. Go to developers.facebook.com
  2. Select your app → WhatsApp → API Setup
  3. Copy the Phone Number ID and WhatsApp Business Account ID
  4. For the access token, go to Business Settings → System Users → Generate Token

Configuring the Webhook

After connecting your account, configure the webhook in Meta's dashboard:

  1. Go to Meta App Dashboard → WhatsApp → Configuration
  2. Set Callback URL to: https://app.aisoule.com/api/webhook
  3. Set Verify Token to the value shown in your AIsoule account settings
  4. Subscribe to: messages, message_deliveries, message_reads

Troubleshooting

"Connection test failed" — Double-check your Phone Number ID and Access Token. Make sure the token has whatsapp_business_messaging permission.

"Not receiving messages" — Make sure you've clicked "Subscribe" in AIsoule AND configured the webhook URL in Meta's dashboard.

"Phone number already in use" — The number is registered on WhatsApp Messenger. Delete WhatsApp from that device, wait 5 minutes, then try again.
