Using the QR code scanner

Quickly add contacts by scanning WhatsApp QR codes or wa.me links.

On mobile app

1. Go to Contacts tab
2. Tap the 📷 QR button in the header
3. Point your camera at a WhatsApp QR code
4. AIsoule extracts the phone number from the wa.me link
5. If the contact exists → opens their profile
6. If new → creates the contact automatically

What QR codes work

• WhatsApp personal QR codes (from WhatsApp app → Settings → QR Code)
• wa.me links printed on business cards, flyers, etc.
• Any QR code containing a phone number or wa.me URL

Use cases

• Events — Scan attendee badges to add them as contacts
• Retail — Scan customer's WhatsApp QR at the counter
• Networking — Quick contact exchange at meetings

Tips

1. Good lighting — QR codes scan better in well-lit areas
2. Hold steady — Keep the phone stable while scanning
3. Check the contact — Verify the number is correct after scanning
